Learned to ride on my dads 78-79 RD400 when I was 16, obviously without his knowledge  The technical school used to come out 15 min before Bellville Hoër, enough time to paddle home on my bicycle, fetch the 400 and meet my pals at the gate of BH for some bird watching  Th klr would be my 5th motorcycle, bought in 2014, 3rd Kawasaki and 3rd dualsport machine.
It's never wrong to do the right thing

I got my big bike licence on a Honda Dax 70 cc (similar to the one below and borrowed from a friend), during 1974.

I then owned a clapped out 1970 Honda C110 50 cc during matric (similar to the one below).

When doing army training in Potch, I got my first bike. A 1975 Kawasaki KH 400 triple.

    When I started as an apprentice, I bought a 1971 Honda CB750.

    After that I bought a 1970 BSA Thunderbolt 650.

    I then changed over to a scrambler, a 1979 Suzuki PE 250.

    More to follow.

Then I bought a bike that was mainly used on a farm and not registered. I restored and licenced it and used it for about 3 years to go to work. A 1975 Honda TL 250.

    Then came a 1980 Honda XR500.

    Then a very boring 1980 BMW R65.

I then restored a very abused 1983 Yamaha XT 600 Tenere.

Then I bought my first KLR (2009) which I should have done sooner. It suits me and my wife perfectly.
