I need some opinions or guidance please.
I'm slowly exiting the KLR scene (nothing personal, LOL). I want to sell two KLR's and a load of spare parts, including a 2005 engine. Too many parts to list, will discuss this further another day.

Both bikes are projects that I just can't find time to finish.
1. 2005 Model, recent mini restoration (frame and body painted) 29 000 km, Bike looks great, 100% complete and licensed.
Problems: Rusty spokes and smoking. This bike sometimes smokes a LOT, other times it is not even noticeable. Valvestem seals replaced, no difference so I guess it requires a bore and piston.

2. 2011 Model. 22 000km. Bike was crashed, so some plastics were repaired, others were replaced. Current state is primed but not yet painted. (cause I'm lazy and can't decide on a color)
Major Problems: Needs paint, 1 mirror and 1 indicator. Screen has a small crack/chip behind bodywork.
Bike is registered and fees paid, but no license disc since it first needs to go for roadworthy.

For argument sake, assume no accessories or extras.

I guess I'm testing the market or hoping for offers since I have no clue what the value of these bikes are. At my current pace, I'll still be working on these projects 5 years from now.

There is actually a 3rd bike as well, a 2007. Ready to ride, but cosmetically challenged and needs a full service and battery.

I'll see if I can post some pictures later.

Opinions?

What I would do if I were in this situation.
Strip the heads of off all 3 motors and sell it separately (complete with cams) for ± 10k each. Then sell each bike for 15k and you should easy get 60k. If you try and sell the bikes complete you will probably get 20k each on a good day, that's only 40k.

Unfortunately it is a buyers market and not a sellers market
