I'm a bit disappointed. ..

What I was hoping for:
- a 6th Gear
- a parallel twin( possibly the same /reworked engine as the current Versys 650)
- twin front rotors
But atleast ABS is now an option!

And I really hope that it is a "brand new" engine. So that the doohickey things is no longer an issue!

* I think we can definitely expect pricing to start at R100k.

Otherwise it looks great!

Bitter sweet IMO. Sure its great that they have kept this legendary model alive, but I think they haven't quite done enough. EFI aside many changes are cosmetic. Still needs to be seen properly but what disappoints me is:

(1) STILL not 6th gear - Still limiting longer distance traveling.
(2) No real engine upgrade - This power plant is really outdated, yes reprofiled cams, etc add a bit but not enough to even compete with more modern 300cc offerings IMO.
(3) Still a single piston thumper - If they managed to somehow get emissions under control how future proof is a thumper as we constantly move to cleaner solutions?
(4) Integrated rear frame?

But having said that there I see a whole lot of upgrades that I really like and I would definitely love owning one! Price will be key, I'm sure they will be priced right and will sell well. Super keen to check one out in the flesh.
Let's do dirty!

I must admit , the new version is growing rapidly on me B) ... I always said , there is nothing one can fix , and/or make better than the factory was suppose to ,in the first place !
I thinks ... there was a reason , why I did not sell all my gear

I'm not buying a 200k T700 , Don't care how cool it looks !!

This KLR coming in , under a 100k .... you guy's will definitely see me
