I agree, real difference is price & instant availability
The Wossner kit more than makes up for the 5cc difference by being High Compression piston
Will be interesting to get Groenies KLR to Clubhouse Dyno Jet Dyno one evening for a BIG BORE SHOOT OUT????
Wossner suppliers to Porsche & Ferrari, made in Germany

Schnitz is actually JE pistons. They supply for Porsche, Lambo, Ducati, Kawa, Honda, Harley, Chev, Ford, etc. AND NHRA!

In NHRA, they push out more than 7000hp.....

That aside, is there a 0.5mm upgrade for Wossner? I can (seriously thinking about it) go to 692...

null

For which piston is it that you have to modify gaskets? Is it not the Wossner?
And the Shnitzer comes in a kit with all the correct gaskets?

Of het ek nou weer die kat aan die gat ?

The Schnitz comes with teh head gasket already modified for the bigger bore. On the Woessner we just used the dremel to make the hole a bit bigger.

BTW my groot K@K cost be a lot of money. More then 10 hours labour and over R1500 for a full gasket set, and more for water pump seals. I just replaced everything while I had it apart.

The Big bore, Head work and Dynojet were not needed for the repair but WTF I now probably have the most over capitalised KLR on the clan. Bough the bike for R36K bog standard and spent nearly that on it over the last 6 months.

I must be Farking mad.

We realise that Dave...but still. You've got me green with envy! I'll have to wait another 40000km before I "may" buy the big bore.
