Net n dom vraag, hierdie prolong k@k of ander additives, kan dit nie dalk help vir daai bearings nie, ek persoonlik glo nie aan dit nie

Be very careful about adding additives to this engine, remember your bike has a wet clutch, meaning that the clutch is in the engine oil. Certain oils and or additives can cause the clutch to slip meaning that you will have to replace the clutch.

Is there something that can be done to prevent this bearing from failing?

[quote="This bearing is at the top left of the motor. It is splash feed only, in other words it does not get oil pressure fed into it from the oil pump.[/quote]

Thank you meneer, for safety sake I have now changed my habit and rather sit on the bike, keeping it 100% upright, when I start it up first thing in the morning and I keep it upright for a minute or two before I lower it onto the side stand to complete the warm up cycle.

Not sure if this is helping at all but it is giving me peace of mind. :)

Upper balancer bearing No. 2
Well maintained bike with 65000 km's.
How is that bearing replaced? Do you have to split the motor?

I think my bike developed the same problem, will hopefully know later today what the problem is. On Monday it developed a bad vibration coming from the engine.

Holding thumbs that it is not something serious.
