Yes you are flogging a dead horse. Read the 10 years of 28 pages to see why.

Oil filter from Start line in edenvale.

Read the oil spec sheet in your handbook.

JASO MA ie motorcycle oil. Also buy from Startline

Thanks Dave

I did go to the start and they begin with all types of comments but looks like 10 years of confusion and then they start squabbling between them :pinch:

But I will give Startline a try and thanks for your advice

FOR THE LAST TIME - KLR = CASTROL ACTEVO 4T.
THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS IT, IT COSTS 70 BUCKS PER LITER, AND HAS ALL THE GEARBOX ADDITIVES JAPANESE BIKES REQUIRE. CASE CLOSED

Don't worry Toggie, i also battle with the search function. Been looking for Carabian Bruce's trip report on the ben 10, and have put in his name, ben 10, trip reports, but just cannot seem to get it. Some people are probably just not cut out for searching. I cannot even find the geo cache's i go looking for :S . Yes everybody has there view on oil, for different reason. Business, financial ext ext. But as Pannas says. It is what the manufacturer wants us to use although a bit costly. There are alternatives though, that have more or less the same recipy. when i did my Sani trip i ran out of oil in my extra half liter as it was a long trip, and at a garage got the next best thing. I finished the trip, did a service and bike still running well. Guys it is, how hard you ride as weel. But most say that this one of the things that make the klr so appealing. As long as there is enjin oil in the belly, they will keep going

Unfortunately spelling is key when using the search function. if unsure just use part of the word.
