havent heard of HD Tubes or muti. I've got Enduro tubes which are much thicker than standard, and I ride with spare tubes as well as cannisters with slime/foam. Im yet to get a puncture, but would try the slime, failing that I'd put the spare tube in.

I know Fug-It have a 80% success rating on tube tyres and 95% success rating on tubeless.

I know Mike from fug-it and he back his product up. I got it in my KLR and no puncture up to date, well cant say if it work or just lucky not to get a puncture.

Regarding your original question. Heavy duty tubes does make sense in some cases.

I had one in my front wheel with my E07 tyres. The tyres went for 18000km and did lose SOME air over time. I topped it up once a month. When I EVENTUALLY changed the tyres, I found 3 small wires had punctured the tube. The tube held air much better than a normal tube would have.

The tube is however much thicker, which means it's a PITA to install (even the guys at the tyre shops sometimes have a hard time installing them.

I haven't found a 17 inch HD, but I run tubeless on my rear.

I do not have any experience with the puncture muti etc, but it works VERY WELL on my mountainbike!

Enduro tubes which are much thicker than standard = H(eavy)D(uty) tubes

ask Doc's sheep - they'll all tell you thicker is better...
for that matter, so will Dave's doll...

I bought Fug-It at the Tech Day last year and added to both tyres.

Front still fine.

Back got puncture from a piece of metal 60mm x 3mm which also punctured the wall of the tire in a line of about 40mm with multiple small holes. Had to replace tube could only get a HD. So far so good.

I think I was unlucky and the hole was to big. Fug-It don't work on sidewall.

Do you use Fug-It after you’ve got a puncture (to fix a puncture) or before to try and stop a puncture from happening?

Before. Put in and forget, will seal punctures when it happens. According to theory!

I recently got a puncture fixed.
(emotional roller-coaster)

Here's the hole... Should I replace the tyre?
