Did the 8mm bolt conversion on the carrier bolts- long overdue
Also cut a piece of steel plate to strengthen the carrier.

We are in the making of Tank Vests.

We make them ourselves, so they are "Custom Made "

Pictures attached (still busy with the small bags and finishing touches)

Any remarks, comments ??

I LIke

Monica you need to speak nicely to Mc Sack and see if he will lend you the one he got from the US and copy it.
Looks like an army webbing belt for your KLR.

Txs Dave - we saw the one from Mc Sack, and from there the idea. But would like to have a closer view, or a photo or two of his Vest, will just broaden the ideas

Just saw this ... any time you want to take a closer look let me know. You are welcome to lend the donkey's vest any time for a longer sqizz if you want
(OK... would have to be after my end Sep tour)

Thank You - even if you can take some close up pic's and send them to me, that will also help! I just need the finishing touches

When the missus drops her bike and you have to make a quick temp plan...... BTW. I also discovered the donor lucozade makes an awesome mix for Tipo Tinto!

Legendary solution Ryderod! Well done!

Last night I installed my highway pegs, a project I built with the help of a friend. In the process I also fitted my tool tube at long last, which I bought more than a year ago.

The highway peg design can still be improved (pegs cannot fold currently), but works lekker for now!

I really need to fabricate a more permanent solution for the green-pool-noodle-radiator-tank-gap-filler.

Yep, highway pegs still on my bucket short list, they look like a comfortable position for cruising.
For my radiator gap I used some 20x15 single sided foam strip. I found two strips wide by 2 strips high created just enough height to enable slight compression, I just had to trim the inner side close to the fan, and then trim the height where the shroud gap tapers inwards. Been on for a good few months now and showing no signs of wear yet..

Finally finished skully's transformation. I am happy with the end result. Best looking hybrid around. For those that are not sure what a hybrid is, it is a new shape converted to a fugly. Best of both worlds:evil:
