Last thing that came to mind after my trip through Lesotho: Check your rear wheel alignment. My friends was skew and it ate at teh pad and the disc the whole way, also degraded the brake fluid with constant heat.

Braided hoses: DocKLR or the local HEL agents can manufacture them for you.

A motto that I beat into granite, with my size 13's, during my introduction to my personal kindergarten: "It will kill me, but you first!"

Don't really want to highjack the thread. I am looking to upgrade to braided front brake lines, but have no idea where to purchase it, what is the right size and length if any has those details?

Speak to Groenie, he has them made up.

The KLR does not have the best brakes but the new shape has slightly better brakes.

Braided hoses do make a difference but I agree with Diesel Dave that you should use your engine more when braking
