Flywhell / alternator rotor puller was created by trijonb
Hi guys,

A very merry christmas to everyone and wishes for the New Year.

A quick / urgent request ... i was wondering whether anyone had a Kawasaki flywheel puller tool (manual says M16/M18/M20/M22 × 1.5) i could borrow (in return for some beers ;) ). The magnets have fallen off of the rotor and i desperately need to get the darn thing off so i can fit the replacement before work starts again.

I have searched the Cape Town (Craigs, Startline) stores but havent managed to find one which fits yet ... does anyone have one they would be willing to lend?

Area: Cape Town

Much appreciated,
Regards
Jon

Is this also the puller that one use to do the doo?
If so, I took a side shaft from CV joint, did the job

I think it's 1.5
Used it on my KLR to pull flywheel to do the doo
I'm in Hermanus if you want to use it, would like it back though

ok great, so M22 x 1.5?

i cant easily get out there at the mo! so i will see if i can find some threaded bar or a bolt such as above. apparently a sump plug might work as well, if you can get the OD.
thanks very much for offering, its much appreciated.
cheers

Most welcome
I got it for free from a local CV joint guy
Seems they throw it out when replacing CV joints
Perhaps worth a try
But, you can use mine if needed

M22x1.5
Go to Topfast in Paarden Eiland and get a bolt with that thread.
Length 50 or 75 mm
Tensile strength at least 10.9.
Mine is currently on the point of stripping so I need to replace mine.
