New Shape dust problem was created by Abre
On our recent Morokweng trip I changed my bike's airfilter after the second day's ride. It was pretty dirty even though I was rinding in front for a large part of the time. I started off with a clean filter.

The New Shapes seemingly tend to suck in dust from the rear wheel resulting in the air filter clogging up quicker than the Fugly's.

Is there a way to remedy this?

I was very tempted to make the same comment.

I only have space for one bike, and I do not want to sell my bike because I kind of grew attached to it.

I will keep on searching for a solution then.

Thank you Handré.

Maybe I can modify that into something viable.

Just for int sake. Are the two air filters not the same. IF they are Mabe your drain plug has a opening. It should have two parts against each other so when it sucks it closes, but when washing out or water gets in, the pressure is from the other side, which causes it to drain

Keith has a valid point regarding the plugs and pipes

The plugs and pipes are working the way they should.

On the new shapes the lay out of the plastic fender liner is such that dust from the rear wheel gets sucked in through the snorkel/air intake. The result is an airfilter clogging up even when you don't follow in the dust from another vehicle.
