Hi there,

Various options open to you; (i) elbow grease & polish with use of heat gun (ii) wrap the plastics (iii) re-spray.

Use the search function here and you will find lots of content.

Regards,

Peter

My bike is the Red 2004 model. With Mequires "Detail" polish it makes them look like new! Worked for me anyway.................
If you cant get there on a gravel road, why bother!!:)

Just refurbished a sad looking side panel. Sanded my ass off - 320 (dry), 400 (dry) and then wet sanded with 600, 800, 1000 and 1200. Takes bloody forever.

Then 3 treatments with the heat gun being VERY careful until it becomes shinier. Then buffing wheel on drill (3/4 speed) with some liquid pink polish i bought long ago at an auto painter place - about 5 repeats.

Worked for me. Will i do it again? No....too much PT. Next time i will just scruff it up and respray it out of a can....cheap and nasty KLR style.
